Your Lapland expedition begins in Science Centre and Museum Arktikum. Discover northern nature, cultures and history in our unique environment. That and so much more about the life in the North is explained in our exhibitions.

The exhibitions by the Regional Museum Lapland and the Arctic Centre at the University of Lapland offer experiences and knowledge from an Arctic perspective. In the Science Centre exhibition by the Arctic Centre, the Arctic region can be experienced and studied both from above and within. The exhibition by the Regional Museum of Lapland showcases Lapland history, people, northern nature, and animals.

Alongside the exhibition visit, we recommend visiting our café. You’ll get to savour the colourful northern harvest in our lunch buffet and soak in arctic design on your coffee break. In Arktikum Shop you'll find authentic Lappish handicrafts and products that make great souvenirs.
